Our internship programs are designed to help interns connect their passion for games to meaningful careers.
As a Riot Intern, you can expect to gain hands-on work experience with products and projects across Riot Games. You will be supported by mentors and unlock access to career development courses to equip you for your journey ahead. During your internship, you will spend time with leadership across disciplines to gain valuable insights, create lasting relationships with your intern community, and work with incredible teams to create meaningful experiences for players across the globe.
Riot’s United States Summer Internship Program
Our annual, remote US Summer Internship Program is designed to be the bridge from student to Rioter! For 10-12 weeks as an intern, you will work closely on Riot projects with teams around the company. This remote internship program includes a week at our global headquarters in Los Angeles.

We offer programs throughout the year and these internships can be short or long term depending on the role. FAQ
Do I need to be great at games to apply?
No! If you are passionate about supporting players and Riot’s mission, you can absolutely apply.
How can I make my application stand out?
We recommend curating your resume and application to the specific role that you’re applying for. Make sure you provide all necessary pieces of information, and share your story and aspirations with us in the application prompt questions.
Can I apply for more than one job?
We encourage you to apply for the role that best fits your skills and interests. Keep in mind that applying for more positions won’t increase your chances.
When uploading my materials, what format should I use?
For your resume, we recommend you use PDF format to ensure compatibility and easy viewability. If you’re submitting a portfolio or reel, direct links to your websites work best.
United States Internship
Program Details
This remote program allows interns to work with various teams and products across Riot Games’ offices in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and St. Louis.
US Summer Internship Program Eligibility
- Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
- Citizenship: You must be eligible to work in the country that you reside in during this remote program.
- Enrollment: You do not have to be enrolled as a full-time student! However, you should be enrolled at the time of applying in college, university, or non-degree courses (individual courses, online courses, certificate programs from an accredited program).
- Internship Duration: You must be available to work full-time for the required internship duration. Interns should expect to work a full 40 hour work week. Our general office hours are from 10am to 7pm PST.
US Summer Internship FAQ
When should I submit my application?
Applications for our US Summer Internship Program open in September. For roles that are evaluated on a rolling basis, we recommend applying sooner when there is a higher chance of the role being available. You can find details on a specific role on the respective job description.
When will I start my internship and how long is it?
Because academic calendars vary from school to school, there will be multiple start dates; typically the first and fourth week of May, and second week of June. If your school needs are different you can discuss timing with your recruiter. Internships typically last 10-12 weeks.
Can I intern during the Spring or Fall semester?
This program is only offered during the Summer at this time.
If I’ve already graduated or am graduating this year, can I apply for this internship?
The current internship program is specifically focused for students graduating/completing courses in 2025 or 2026. If you’ve already graduated or are graduating this year, please check out our jobs board for any open roles at the company.
EMEA Internship Program Details
Our EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) Internship Program provides players the opportunity to work closely with Riot offices across Europe. We offer programs throughout the year and these internships can be short or long term internships depending on the role. Our internship roles are posted on a rolling-basis and can be in the following locations:

EMEA Internship Eligibility
- Age: You must be old enough to legally work where the Riot office is located.
- Citizenship: You must be authorized to work in the country where the job you are applying to is based.
- Enrollment: Depending on the office location, you may need to be enrolled as a full-time student or actively pursuing some form of education at the time of applying (includes online curriculums).
- Applicants for roles in Germany, Ireland, and the UK are not required to be currently enrolled in any courses in order to apply.
- Internship Duration: You must be available to work for the required internship duration. Interns should expect to work a full 40 hour work week (subject to local laws).

Our Latin America Internship Program provides interns the opportunity to learn and play alongside full-time Rioters in our Mexico City and São Paulo offices. Programs may be offered throughout the year and vary in duration depending on the specific role.

- Citizenship: You must be authorized to work in Mexico or Brazil to be considered for a role in the respective office.
