Principal Technical Producer - League Studio

League Studio is the entity within Riot Games that develops League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra. To support the aspirations of these games, the Studio makes significant investments in developing and advancing the League game platform through the Tech Foundations team.
As a Principal Technical Producer on Tech Foundations, you will lead large-scale programs that connect League Studio and other central teams to deliver strategic technical priorities. This role brings clarity, aligns priorities across teams, keeps stakeholders informed, and proactively addresses risks and blockers. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to drive decisions and align priorities, while working closely with teams to understand constraints, mitigate risks, and manage schedules.
You will join the Tech Foundations Operations leadership team, collaborating with operations leaders across three major groups in the organization. In that group you will help us level up how we do program management across our organization. You will report to the Senior Director of Technical Production on Tech Foundations.
Responsibilities
- Align teams towards complex cross-Riot programs centered around Riot's strategic technology priorities.
- Develop and organize program plans with cross-functional teams, including creative, architecture, operations, technical teams, and leadership.
- Facilitate and manage Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large or team-of-team project teams.
- Champion processes and delivery methodologies to drive successful program outcomes.
- Track and report on program performance to ensure milestones are met.
- Manage risks, foster transparency, and maintain predictable program roadmaps.
- Foster strong partner relationships by providing clear updates on workstreams and proactively addressing their needs.
- Assist in the creation of product release and go-to-market plans.
- Drive improvement to program management practices within Tech Foundations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of technical components like architecture, tools, and deployment practices, with the ability to communicate technical decisions effectively at a high level.
- Hands-on experience with agile and iterative development methodologies, including tools like JIRA.
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management or production leadership roles on medium to large teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Proven ability to build trust, respect, and confidence with stakeholders quickly and effectively.
- Ability to adapt and be effective in new situations within a highly dynamic environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex programs across large, globally distributed teams or organizations, ensuring alignment and delivery across diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working on a variety of software products in the gaming space, with a focus on multiplayer or live service games.

- (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $196,900.00 - $275,200.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
