Today, the arbitrator overseeing Sharon O'Donnell Vs Riot Games Inc., Et Al. issued his decision. The conclusion was clear: all claims in the January 2021 lawsuit against Riot Games and our former CEO, Nicolo Laurent, were unfounded.
This outcome reinforces the results of the third-party investigation reviewed by our Board of Directors in March 2021.
To be clear, there is no place for harassment or discrimination of any kind at Riot, and we will continue working to ensure our workplace remains safe and inclusive. We encourage all Rioters to speak up through our reporting channels if they experience or witness any misconduct.
However, it’s also important to state that we will not tolerate malicious accusations against the company or individual Rioters, and we will fight them with the utmost conviction – even if that means spending years in litigation. Not only has this opportunistic lawsuit negatively impacted Riot and our teams, it has put Nicolo’s family through a great deal of pain. Nicolo is also carefully considering his next steps, including potential legal recourse, and we support him in these efforts.
We are deeply grateful that the facts have finally prevailed. We thank Rioters for their patience throughout this process and look forward to moving on from this case.
