Localization Producer
Job Id: REQ-0008855
As a Localization Producer reporting to the localization production leader and supporting our interactive products, you believe that authentic and immersive localization enriches a global audience's gaming experience.
You'll work with Development teams and Localization leadership in regional offices to build a high-functioning Localization discipline and to meet the goals of several, simultaneous projects. You've dedicated a lot of time thinking about the balance of speedy content creation and quality and can help product teams balance the two. You have an internal game development experience with a special focus on localization. At the end of the day, you won't be satisfied until players around the world experience an authentically immersive game.
Responsibilities:
- Build sustainable pipelines, always considering the future and putting scalability at the forefront
- Identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and communicate them with all relevant partners
- Champion the tenets of holistic ownership of products and processes from end-to-end while engaging all partners concerning localization.
- Advocate for the vision of the localized experience, building relationships with developers and regional teams
- Gather, interpret, and use data to illustrate issues and drive change at the product level
- Ensure that our dev practices incorporate internationalization and global mindset as part of the core philosophy
- Communicate the goals and status of your project(s) to senior leaders to achieve constant partner alignment across the organization
- Showcase exemplary communication skills: listening to, speaking with, and resolving conflicts with members of dynamic disciplines all while remaining objective in challenging situations
- Connect centrally located Rioters with Rioters in other regions, developing lines of communication and encouraging holistic teamwork
- Develop the production muscle of the localization discipline by providing mentorship to junior producers and working with senior production members to identify needs
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years as a game producer and have a background in Localization in a AAA gaming studio; you have the experience needed to set localization up for success, in any genre
- Experience working with multiple technical and creative disciplines
- Ability to understand, simplify, and solve any problem even through constant change
- Comfort working with all teams to drive results
- Experience with the tools of the trade: you're conversant in localization content management systems, version control systems, and media localization tools
- Knowledge of office type programs, experience with software and tools related to planning, scheduling, and QA
- An Agile advocate: you're familiar with Agile methodologies when applied to localization. You understand the difference between "doing Agile" and "being Agile"
- A Loc pro: you have an in-depth knowledge of game localization and you're well versed in multiple forms of media; you're knowledgeable of the voice recording process as it applies to the multiple locales
- Ability to make data "speak" through analysis and application on a large-scale
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience driving production in a live product environment
- Track record of successfully partnering with globally disparate teams/stakeholders
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you!
