A Recruiter at Riot partners with their business to guide the entire hiring process. We develop an understanding of teams and roles, manage hiring partners, serve as a brand ambassador for all Riot products, and provide an outstanding candidate experience.
As an Executive Search Partner at Riot Games, you will be at the forefront of Riot’s talent acquisition efforts, serving as a strategic advisor and talent architect. Reporting to the Director of Executive Search, you will attract and secure transformative leaders for Riot’s Games portfolio, Around Games initiatives—including Publishing, Esports, and Entertainment—and Enterprise operations. This role combines deep recruitment expertise with relationship-building and mentorship to influence Riot’s bold goals and future strategic vision.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Search Leadership
- Business Acumen: Demonstrate deep knowledge of Riot’s core domains: Games, Around Games (encompassing Publishing, Esports, and Entertainment efforts), and Enterprise. Translate Riot’s mission and Camp2 business objectives into targeted executive search strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
- Search Strategy Development: Design and implement tailored executive search strategies, leveraging market intelligence, creative sourcing methods, and a deep understanding of Riot’s talent needs.
- Executive Search Innovation: Build scalable and high-impact enterprise-wide executive search practices, promoting efficiency and excellence across global hiring efforts.
Candidate Engagement and Pipeline Development
- Talent Sourcing: Identify and engage a diverse pool of exceptional leaders who align with Riot’s vision, values, and growth trajectory.
- Candidate Experience: Curate a thoughtful and personalized experience throughout the hiring journey, reflecting Riot’s commitment to inclusion and excellence.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate lasting partnerships with industry leaders, creating a robust network of allies and future Rioters.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior executives, HRBPs, and hiring managers to prioritize critical roles, align search strategies, and provide actionable market insights.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Foster partnerships across Riot teams to ensure seamless integration of new leaders and successful delivery of hiring outcomes.
- Collaboration with Vendors: Manage relationships with external search firms and vendors, ensuring alignment with Riot’s expectations and standards.
Mentorship and Team Development
- Mentorship: Guide and coach junior recruiters, sharing expertise in executive search best practices, candidate engagement, and negotiation techniques. Act as a resource for their development and success.
- Knowledge Sharing: Lead workshops and sessions to elevate the broader Talent Acquisition team’s capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Spearhead cross-functional and multi-pillar search initiatives, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing across Riot.
Operational Excellence
- Screening and Interviewing: Lead comprehensive evaluations of executive candidates, assessing leadership qualities, cultural fit, and technical expertise.
- Offer Negotiation and Onboarding: Drive equitable and competitive negotiations while supporting seamless transitions and onboarding experiences.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine recruitment workflows, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and impact.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human resources, business, or related fields.
- Executive Search Expertise: 8+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with 5+ years specializing in executive-level search within gaming, technology, or entertainment sectors.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, fostering an environment of trust and shared success.
- Mentorship Expertise: Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor recruiters or team members, driving high performance and team development.
- Technical Acumen: Skilled in leveraging tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search methods, and deep web sourcing to identify world-class talent.
- Global Experience: Experience managing international searches, navigating complex visa scenarios, and engaging with talent across diverse markets.
- Data-Driven Insights: Proficiency in interpreting recruitment data to inform strategy, support decisions, and enhance communication with stakeholders.

- Gaming Industry Knowledge: Experience recruiting for live-service games and supporting leadership hiring for large-scale production teams.

- (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $142,700.00 - $198,500.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
