Influencer Strategist III - 2XKO

Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critic and player acclaim. Since then, four more titles, including FPS-success Valorant, have been added, with more in development. Across all of Riot's IP, players form the foundation of our communities, and often influencers and creators are an essential part of our player strategy.
As the Global Influencer Lead for 2XKO (Influencer Strategist III), you will work with Community and Publishing teams to develop influencer engagement strategies, support digital and in-person efforts, roll out campaigns, and support our International Influencer teams for Riot’s upcoming fighting game, 2XKO. You'll participate in a community of influencer strategists, developing playbooks and leading the strategy to ensure we're all working towards the same goals when we engage with influencers in our campaigns across the globe.
The Global Influencer Lead will report to the 2XKO Editor-in-Chief.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the influencer strategy for 2XKO, bringing in the right creators and community influencers, through the right activations to achieve the goals established by Riot leadership, communicating and coordinating that strategy throughout global and regional influencer teams
- Co-create with Community, Brand, Creative, Social, and PR teams to champion player-first ideas and build globally integrated campaigns and strategies with global impact
- Develop creator-specific goals and performance metrics for campaigns, monitor to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Manage relationships with creators and community influencers, including relationship management, contracting, and onboarding processes
- Work with Riot's dev teams as the voice of creators in regular team syncs and programs and collaborate on potential opportunities for engagement and features
- Advocate for and mentor Riot's international influencer team to help build a thriving internal community of influencer managers
- Manage reporting across streaming networks, platforms, social media and community discussions; including analyzing performance data, industry trends and new opportunities
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience working within Influencer or Marketing teams, including working directly with creators
- Deep knowledge of the fighting game community (FGC)
- Deep knowledge of creator needs and pain points, including both with developing content and with the creator life cycle at all points in their journey
- Experience overseeing projects from kickoff to execution
- Understanding of best practices across social/content platforms and services in relation to influencer strategies (including Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube)
- A network of influencer relationships, which includes experience working directly with creators, streamers and talent agencies
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Riot Games’s Runeterra IP titles (League of Legends, TFT, Legends of Runeterra)
- Experience developing strategies to localize campaigns for audiences around the globe
- Experience working with agencies and vendors
- Experience with game launch strategies and experience working in R&D spaces
- Knowledge of FGC beyond North America

- (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $142,700.00 - $198,500.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
