The Business Operations function within China Publishing helps drive initiatives and optimizations for in-game events, channels, monetization, and around game product features. You will get deeply involved in every aspect of our game’s business operations and revenue management, be it building up skin pipelines that Chinese players love, exploring new content types that make the game more immersive and exciting, or redesigning the experience for players to access the contents that they love.

As Business Operations in the League of Legends China publishing team, you will drive impactful publishing initiatives and provide critical product feedback through in-depth research and analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will also manage esports-related communications with global esports partners on various product initiatives.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be responsible for continuous efforts to understand our players, closely monitor and analyze the performance of product and publishing tactics in China, and extract actionable insights. 
  • Stay informed on industry and competitor trends to enhance our strategic planning.
  • Offer analytical support and engage in collaborative projects to optimize regional publishing execution and global product features, ensuring they align with the preferences and needs of Chinese players.
  • Create and manage a process for business and financial review and approval for esports-related products in China.
  • Maintain and develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication to bridge organizational gaps and support decision-making.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create player-centric local experiences and initiatives that meet the diverse needs of our player base.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ of professional experience in management consulting, strategic user research, insights or business intelligence.
  • Experience in advanced data analytics, modeling, statistics, etc
  • Hardcore gamer. Rich experiences in video games and e-sports, including League of Legends and deep understanding of their revenue strategies and monetization 
  • Fluent in Chinese and English, and can drive collaboration across language and culture
