As a Senior Software Engineer on Content Publishing Experience, you’ll enhance tools that our content creators use to inspire players to engage deeply within Riot’s publishing ecosystem. Our Sanity CMS captures content that will be distributed to our players through multiple websites, our game clients (such as League of Legends), our Riot mobile app, news articles and game patch notes. You'll enable our Content Publishing team to work efficiently to create experiences for players around the globe.  This position reports to the engineering manager of the Content Publishing Experience team within Riot’s Player Platform, Player Experience organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Write web applications (Typescript, ReactJS) and integrations with 3rd party tools
  • Collaborate with technical leadership and peers to break down work and build important features
  • Maintain an appropriate level of quality by writing tests, using CI/CD, and following software development best practices.
  • Mentor other engineers in your areas of expertise
  • Participate in technical phone screens and onsite panels to help grow engineering team
  • Be on a rotational on-call schedule for live product and internal customer support

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable experience in software development
  • 4+ years of industry experience 
  • Experience writing JavaScript (ReactJS, TypeScript) for web applications and end-to-end tests
  • Strengths in collaboration, communication, technical requirements gathering, and  determining technical strategy

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with customization of Content Management Systems (e.g. Sanity, Wordpress, Joomla, etc.) 
  • Experience working with serverless computing (e.g. AWS lambdas)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience working with UX and visual designers

  • (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $153,800.00 - $216,200.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
